card loading signal (magnetic card) (CLS)
Magnetic cards have three separate magnetic tracks. Each individual track has three signals of its own: the Card Loading Signal ( CLS), the Read Clock Pulse( RCP) and the Read Data Pulse( RDP). The Card Loading Signal indicates that the magnetic card being written to has been pulled past the read head. The CLS signal remains active during the data read and the clock signal until the magnetic card is removed. The RCP clock signal and the RDP data signal are separated by an F2F demodulator.
