blind carbon copy (BCC)

A Blind Carbon Copy (BCC) is a blind copy. It is an entry on the distribution list of electronic messages: "Confidential copy to".

In the case of an e-mail, for example, this is not to inform the recipient of the message that the message has been forwarded confidentially to someone else.

In email clients, the Blind Carbon Copy function can be accessed through the Carbon Copy( CC). In the BCC function, the main recipient cannot see in the address section that a blind copy of the e-mail was sent to a third party. On the other hand, at least with many e-mail programs, the recipient of the blind copy can recognize the main recipient from the address field.
