Calling Party Pays (CPP) is a charging scheme for numeric paging services.
In the CPP procedure, the calling subscriber bears the costs for the duration of the call. The subscriber receiving the call is not charged any basic fees or transmission charges for the paging service. This concept has made paging accessible to a wide range of users.
The CPP service is also used in other teleservices. If the receiving subscriber pays, this is referred to as Receiving Party Pays (RPP).
