call processing language (IP) (CPL)

The Call Processing Language(CPL) supports the users of Internet telephony in the way incoming calls are processed.

With the Call Processing Language, certain functionalities and services can be programmed and executed, such as call forwarding at certain times or the activation of voice systems.

The Call Processing Language is a simple language that can be used to describe the functions of IP PBXs in a standardized form. It is described in RFC 2824 and is being further developed by an IETF working group.
