call detail record (CDR)

Call Detail Record(CDR) or Charging Data Record are connection data in fixed networks, mobile networks and IP networks that are recorded in a database and used to calculate connection charges.

In addition to calculating charges for connections, the CDR data is also used to bill network services and the mobile services used. In addition, the data is needed for network analysis. CDR files are used in fixed networks, IP networks in Internet telephony and also in mobile networks.

In dialed virtual circuits( VSC), the Call Detail Record contains the call number, the name of the node computer, the date and time, the connection duration, and error messages. Call Detail Records (CDR), like IP Detail Records( IPDR), are recorded in cloud computing for performance-based billing of voice communications.
