call control (CC)

Call control(CC) refers to call control and the management of a connection. This is largely identical in digital networks such as mobile networks or ISDN and includes call setup, call maintenance, call termination, user information and support for supplementary services.

The Message Signal Unit( MSU) of the SS7 signaling is responsible for connection control.
