byte serial

Byteserial is the sequential transmission of a byte that is transmitted simultaneously over eight parallel lines.

If an information unit consists of several bytes, then the byte sequence is serial if the following bytes are transmitted one after the other. In the case of an information unit of 8 bytes, the 8 bytes are transmitted one after the other in eight successive clock cycles in byte synchronization. If the information units are transmitted in parallel via the buses, this is referred to as byte- parallel transmission.
