butterfly fat tree (NoC) (BFT)
Butterfly Fat Tree (BFT) is a network topology used in Network on Chip( NoC). The BFT topology operates reliably, efficiently and error-free.
The network concept provides for flexible replacement placement of processor cores in the event of a fault. The placement of a replacement core should be done without reducing performance and without increasing latency.
A major challenge to the fault tolerance of the NOCs is the transition to a replacement processor in the event of a fault. Butterfly fat tree networks can be programmed to place a spare processor in the BFT network.
