Busy Hour Call Attempts (BHCA) is a measure of
the performance of a telecommunications system. Busy Hour Call Attempts are the number of calls or call attempts that can be made via the telecommunications system in one hour with high traffic. The actual calls that are made are the Busy Hour Calls (BHC). To determine Busy Hour Call Attempts, the peak hour of a day is used. This is the hour with the highest traffic volume. For telephone traffic, the peak hour is usually around 11:00 in the morning.
