broadband inter-carrier interface (ATM) (B-ICI)
The Broadband Inter-Carrier Interface (B-ICI) is an interface between public ATM networks defined by the ATM Forum.
The B-ICI interface is used to support user services over the ATM networks of various public carriers. B-ICI currently supports only Permanent Virtual Circuits, PVCs; the ATM Forum working group is working to support Switched Virtual Circuits( SVC). B-ICI is specified by the International Telecommunication Union, ITU-T, under Q.1901.
