The creation of brand communities usually has two manifestations: First, the brand community is specifically founded by a company as part of their social media marketing advertising strategy. This can also be done covertly by an agency or paid bloggers or alleged customers. Second, the creation of the brand community can be based on actual enthusiastic customers who want to exchange ideas with like-minded users of the brand and invest time in the creation and operation of the brand community without payment.
