With cryptocurrencies, one does not speak of data blocks, but of blocks. The central task of bitcoin mining is the generation of blocks. The blocks are part of the blockchain and generate the Bitcoins. Thetransactions are stored in them.

The blocks of a blockchain are divided into several blocks with different functions. In the first part of a block, its hash value is stored using a 256-bitSHA algorithm ( SHA-256). The Previous Block Hash data field, which contains the hash value of the previous block, provides for the chaining of the blocks. This is followed by data fields for the timestamp, the initial value for the next hash value, the sequence number of the transactions, the transaction itself, the block size and some other data.
