bifurcated routing

In adaptive routing, it can be useful to determine two different routes over which the data packets are transported in parallel in order to accelerate data transport. This procedure is called bifurcated routing. Since the individual data packets carry sequence numbers( SEQ), merging them at the destination is unproblematic, even if they arrive there in different order.
