bifurcated routing

In adaptive routing, it can be useful to determine two different routes via which the data packets are transported in parallel in order to accelerate the data transport. This procedure is called bifurcated routing. Since the individual data packets carry sequence numbers (SEQ), joining them at the receiving location is unproblematic, even if they arrive there in different order.
