bifacial cell
Bifacial means from two sides. A bifacial cell is a solar cell that can convert incident and reflected light into electricity. Sunlight that falls directly on the solar cell and light that is reflected by walls or roof surfaces and falls on the solar cell from behind.
Because bifacial cells use incident light more efficiently, these solar cells have higher efficiency. In order to better exploit the possibilities of bifacial cells, care must be taken during installation to ensure that the reflective surface behind the solar cell is as bright as possible and is not impaired by shadows. The higher effort in the production of bifacial cells is reflected in higher manufacturing costs.
