best current practice (RFC) (BCP)

Best Current Practice (BCP) is an RFC status. These are the current publications of RFCs in which procedures and protocols are described that have proven themselves in practical use. Without specifying the protocol or procedure, these RFC documents describe the ways in which the corresponding protocol can be used or configured to achieve interoperability with other protocols.
