banking communication standard (BCS)
Unlike Home Banking Computer Interface(HBCI) and Open Financial Exchange( OFX), which were developed for online banking between private customers and financial institutions, the Banking Communication Standard ( BCS) is a standard for secure financial transactions and bank orders between financial institutions and financial institutions.
The Banking Communication Standard was adopted by the German Central Credit Committee(ZKA) and is thus binding for all German banking institutions. The requirements for the BCS code are correspondingly higher and include data transmission, encryption and data compression.
