auxiliary input (Aux-In)

In audio technology, Aux-In is a stereophonic auxiliary input for analog audio signals, similar to Line-In.

The Aux-In can be used as an auxiliary input for various audio signals. It can be used to route audio signals to audio amplifiers, CD players, mixers or equalizers. Aux inputs are high-impedance and can be assigned relatively high voltages between 150 mV and 770 mV. Connectors for aux inputs can be RCA pl ugs or jack plugs.
