In Bluetooth, the data exchange is asynchronous. Since the data transmission is not time-critical, error corrections
and data packet repetitions can be used to ensure error-free transmission. The ACL data packet, Asynchronous ConnectionlessLink (ACL) is transmitted in several versions, with and without forward error correction
(FEC). Point-to-multipoint connections can be established between all active Bluetooth devices in a piconet via the Asynchronous Connectionless Link (ACL). A master station can only establish a single ACL connection to a slave.
