asynchronous connectionless (Bluetooth) (ACL)

InBluetooth, data exchange is asynchronous. Since the data transmission is not time-critical, error corrections and data packet repetitions can be used to ensure error-free transmission.

The ACL data packet, Asynchronous Connectionless Link (ACL) is transmitted in several versions, with and without forward error correction( FEC).

The Asynchronous Connectionless Link (ACL) can be used to establish point-to-multipoint connections between all active Bluetooth devices in a piconet. A master station can only establish a single ACL connection to a slave.
