artificial intelligence (AI)

Artificial intelligence (AI) is a software process that analyzes intelligent behavior and draws conclusions about future operations. In this process, the computer stores repetitive operations, addressing or information as empirical values from which it recognizes regularities that it adapts into the operations.

AI software attempts to mimic the way a human thinks and works and the cognitive reasoning required to solve a task. Artificial General Intelligence( AGI) stands for this approach. Further developments of AI technology include automatic reasoning, image understanding, and language systems.

To enable intelligent machine behavior, artificial intelligence employs various techniques. These include the computer selecting from known behavioral structures the one that most closely matches the current situation. This rule-based decision takes into account the consequences that may arise from the decision. In another procedure, for example, the computer examines the correlations and relationships between variable values and draws its conclusion. Other methods work with search algorithms and analyze the possible outcomes, or they work with artificial neural networks.

Typical examples of artificial intelligence include systems for speech recognition, face recognition and image recognition, expert systems and robotic applications, machine learning, deep learning, chatbots and conversational assistants such as digital voice assistants, autonomous driving, neural networks and cognitive computing.

Since artificial intelligence deals with the adaptation of intelligence in computer-controlled systems, it has scientific and engineering aspects. As an engineering science, Artificial Intelligence deals with the concepts, theory and practical design of intelligent machines.
