advanced computing environment (ACE)

The Advanced Computing Environment (ACE) is an international initiative of hardware manufacturers and software houses founded in 1991 with the aim of creating a modern, future-oriented system environment for personal computers (PCs) and RISC architectures, Reduced Instruction Set Computers (RISC). ACE defines the specifications and develops standards for the compatibility of hardware and software.
