Calibration is the adjustment of a measuring device or measuring system with respect to its error tolerances and the minimization of the display error.
During the adjustment process, the encoder is set so that it does not exceed the specified error limits. This encoder adjustment is performed after calibration
if thespecified tolerances are not met.
Adjustment involves modifying the encoder.
After adjustment, which is described in DIN1319-1, the encoder is in a ready-to-operate condition and maintains the specified error tolerances.
