adaptive gain control (AGC)

Adaptive Gain Control (AGC) is a process used in E-Plus mobile phones to keep the volume constant in the presence of varying levels of ambient noise. The volume is optimised and increases with louder ambient noises, on the other hand it decreases with quieter ambient noises.
