abstraction (OOP)

Abstraction is a term used in object-oriented programming( OOP). Abstraction is the restriction to the properties of objects that are essential in the sense of an application. With the abstraction only those characteristics of an object are considered, which differentiate it from other objects from conceptional view. The internal object structure and the implementation of the methods are abstracted.
