Cut filters are audio filters with which certain tone ranges are lowered. They have the opposite frequency behavior of presence filters.

Like these, cut filters are used in equalizers and lower certain audio frequencies.

Broadband and narrowband bell filters are used as audio filters to lower certain frequencies. For interfering single frequencies, notch filters or subsonic filters can also be used. The lowering of the cut filters is done in dB steps.
