XG Fast

XG-FAST is a further development of G.fast, an extremely fast DSL method via copper twisted pairs

. XG-Fast was developed by Nokia and bridges the last few meters from the fiber optic backbone to the customer connection via copper cable. The bridgeable distance between the Digital Subscriber Line Access Multiplexer (DSLAM) and the user connection is a maximum of 70 meters. XG-Fast is available in two versions with transmission frequencies of 350 MHz and 500 MHz and data rates of 1 Gbit/s in bidirectional operation and 10 Gbit/s via two copper pairs in unidirectional operation.
