Windows Live

Microsoft's Web 2.0 activities are called Windows Live. Although the name refers to the operating system, "Windows Live" has nothing in common with Windows.

Windows Live is a set of services offered over the Web that allow users to build their own Web sites and Web services. For this purpose, Windows Live provides information feeds with which users can build their own home pages and use services. Some services are free of charge, others have to be paid for. So there are services for virus protection and live-mail, Office-Live and Office-Online, and the typical collaboration services like calendar, forums and document sharing.
