LAN management protocol (LMP)

The LAN Management Protocol (LMP) is a LAN protocol for CMIS/ CMIP network services that is implemented directly in the LLC sublayers. Because the LMP protocol supports applications at the application layer and bridges the four layers in between, LMP does not support routing. The original name of this protocol was CMOL (CMIP Over Logical Link Control).
