U.FL connector
The U.FL connector is an RF connector in subminiature design. It was developed by the Hirose company and is used for board connection.
The U.FL connector, which is quite tiny at less than 3 mm in diameter, is permanently assembled and supplied as a pigtail with U.FL cables.
The U.FL cable has a diameter of only 1.3 mm and a bending radius of 5 mm. It can be used up to frequencies of 6 GHz and has an attenuation of 3.4 dB/m at 2.4 GHz, which increases to 4.6 dB/m at 5.3 GHz and to 5.1 dB/m at 5.7 GHz.
