Subtyp

In object-oriented programming( OOP), a subtype is specifically understood to be an object type defined by inheritance. In object-oriented programming languages, in which the names of the classes also designate the corresponding object types, the arrangement of the classes in a class hierarchy also defines a corresponding type hierarchy, in which the term subtype is used analogously to the term subclass, which corresponds to subclass.
