SMS cell broadcast (SMS-CB)
Cell broadcast, also known as short message service cell broadcast( SMS- CB), is a technology with which all terminals of a mobile communications network in a specific network area, for example a radio cell, can be supplied with short messages.
The short messages are retrieved by the subscriber. With cell broadcast, the short messages are 93 characters long and can be concatenated with other messages. Each message contains a message identifier, which makes it possible to receive only messages with specific content.
