Réseaux IP Européens (RIPE)
Réseaux IP Européens (RIPE) is an open association of European Internet Service Providers(ISPs).
The RIPE organization aims to promote TCP/IP-basednetworks in Europe and to represent European Internet interests to the outside world. RIPE holds regular meetings to coordinate technical issues and operates a Network Control Center( NCC) to handle operational aspects, such as the management of European domain names and routing tables.
RIPE allocates IP addresses on a block basis to its Local Internet Registries (LIRs), which assign them to end users. The RIP-NCC is one of five Regional Internet Registries( RIR).
