Rambus Inline Memory Modules (RIMM) are memory blocks with Rambus Dynamic RAMs (RDRAM). Such a memory module can be equipped with up to 16 RDRAMs.

These extremely fast memory modules are equipped with cooling plates to compensate the heat development and to avoid overheating. Since the Rambus channel must not be interrupted by unoccupied slots, unoccupied memory slots are equipped with so-called CRIMMs.
