RAID 1
RAID level 1 is synonymous with " drive mirroring" and duplicates the data blocks by mirroring the hard disks.
If one of the two hard disks with the identical data blocks fails, the other one takes over all processes. This RAID level, which offers one hundred percent redundancy, is particularly suitable for small server systems, since the costs for the respective second hard disk drives increase enormously in large systems.
