NFC data exchange format (NDEF)

The NFC Data Exchange Format (NDEF) is a data format defined by the NFC Forum that allows various data formats and recording formats to be exchanged across platforms using Near Field Communication (NFC).

Such an exchange format ensures NFC-compliant communication, which requires that NFC readers can read NFC tags. The NFC Data Exchange Format (NDEF) specifies the data format for NFC-compliant data exchange with which NFC terminals communicate with NFC tags. Standardized record formats include Record Type Definition( RTD).
