Mac OS is the operating system for Apple PCs, from the house of Apple. It dates back to the 1970s and is considered a modern operating system that had a significant influence on operating system development, especially on the graphical user interface and interactive operation.
Mac OS comes in many versions; it can only be used in Macintosh PCs and compatible computers from other manufacturers, although licensing ceased years ago. The older Mac operating systems were based on the Motorola 6800 and 68000 processors.
At the end of the last century, Mac OS was further developed into Mac OS X, which according to the manufacturer is tailored to the G3 computer generation and can also be used on the predecessor models with PowerPC.
