MAX modules are small computer modules that are plugged into corresponding carrier boards of industrial computers and single board computers( SBC). MAX modules are 29 x 59 qmm small and are used on PCI carrier boards. They were developed by the company Sorcus Computer GmbH.
MAX modules are used in control and automation on PCI carrier boards. They are designed for different tasks, so as I/O interface, counter, communication or processor module. As processor modules they use processors of the x86 series, Pentium or ARM processors. Depending on the carrier board, several MAX modules can be plugged in and expanded to form an independent computer system for time-critical applications. For non-time-critical applications in measured value processing, the operating systemsWindows and Linux can be used.
