LAN access profile (Bluetooth) (LAP)

The LAN Access Profile (LAP) is a Bluetooth profile that supports the TCP/ IP protocol.

With the LAP function, Bluetooth end devices can be networked with existing local networks and company networks. The access point( AP) can be a personal computer, which also serves as a server and through which dial-up to the Internet is also possible.

Authentication is performed with the LAP profile using the Point to Point Protocol( PPP).
