L2TP access concentrator (LAC)

The L2TP Access Concentrator (LAC) is a node computer that acts as an endpoint on one side of the L2TP tunnel, Layer 2 Tunneling Protocol, and forms the peer to the L2TP Network Server( LNS).

The L2TP Access Concentrator is located between the L2TP network server and the remote system and forwards the data packets between the two. The data packets sent from the LAC concentrator to the LNS server use the L2TP protocol for tunneling.
