Konnex Association

The requirements for future-oriented building automation have changed considerably in the years since the development of the various building buses such as the European Installation Bus( EIB), the BatiBUS and the European Home Systems( EHS).

For this reason, the associations of these fieldbuses, EIBA, BCI and EHSA, have initiated a convergence process with the aim of establishing a uniform standard for building automation: the Konnex bus.

The Konnex standard, developed by the Konnex Association, is the first European standard( EN) for intelligent buildings to be standardized by the Comité Européen de Normalisation Electrotechnique( CENELEC).

It is an open, platform-independent standard that supports the interoperability of different manufacturer products through appropriate certification, whose transmission techniques are based on the transmission media of the collaborating associations and complies with the European standards EN 50090.
