Internet security and acceleration (Microsoft) (ISA)

Microsoft Internet Security and Acceleration Server (ISA) is a combination firewall and web caching server that protects enterprises from external access through an existing Internet connection.

The ISA server firewall has a multi- layer architecture that protects the company's network resources from unauthorized access, attacks from hackers and malicious viruses. The web cache server provides users with fast web access by serving objects locally from the cache rather than over the Internet. This in turn improves the Internet performance of clients on the network.
