Internet information server (Windows NT) (IIS)

The IIS server(InternetInformation Server) is a component of Windows NT that supports the Internet Server API( ISAPI).

The IIS server is a web server and opens the connection possibilities with the communication services on the Internet for the enterprise-wide communication for servers working with Windows. After the Apache server, Microsoft's Internet Information Server is the most widely used web server. The Internet Information Server supports File Transfer Protocol( FTP), Simple Mail Transfer Protocol( SMTP), Network News Transfer Protocol ( NNTP) and Hypertext Transfer Protocol( HTTP), among others.
