ISO Development Environment (ISODE) is software that provides an interface to the transport layer of the OSI reference model, built on top of TCP/IP. ISODE was developed to allow researchers to experiment with the higher layers of the OSI protocol. ISODE is composed of the Channel Service Unit (CSU) and the Data Service Unit (DSU) and is used in place of a modem on a DDS link.
