ISDN wall socket

The ISDN connection socket (IAE) is a connection socket commonly used in ISDN, which is equipped with RJ45 plugs in an internationally uniform manner, in contrast to the familiar telephone socket with TAE plug.

Both basic channels and the D- channel form the IAE interface signal with a neto data rate of 144 kbit/s. The signal is used to connect the two basic channels. In this synchronous sum signal, the individual channelsoccupy defined time slots ofSynchronous Time Division Multiplexing ( STDM).
