The layer model of IP500The layer model of IP500 consists of seven layers, like the OSI referencemodel. All layers are functionally occupied. For example, the physical layer of the WPAN activities specified by the IEEE 802.15.4 working group resides on the physical layer. The same applies to the data link layer above it with the media access method (MAC) according to IEEE 802.15.4. On these layers, the developers must observe the legal requirements for frequency use because the 2.4 GHz frequency band is heavily used by WiFi and Bluetooth. Because the sub-frequencies have regional differences and also only allow for narrower channels
