IEEE 802.16a
The standard for a Wireless Metropolitan Area Network(WMAN) prepared by the IEEE working group802.16a was adopted in 2003 for the frequency range between 2 GHz and 11 GHz.
Transmission does not require line-of-sight( NLOS) and supports fixed and mobile applications. The range is 50 km, and the data rate is 75 Mbit/s with a channel width of 20 MHz. The bandwidth of the radio channels can be between 1.25 MHz and 20 MHz and include 16 sub-channels. Furthermore, 802.16a specifies the runtimes and the quality of service( QoS).
