Hewlett-Packard interface bus (HP-IB)

The well-known General Purpose Interface Bus(GPIB) had the name of the development company in the early years: Hewlett-Packard Interface Bus( HP- IB). Later, the GPIB bus was standardized by various standardization bodies. For example, by IEEE under the designation IEEE 488 or by the International Electrotechnical Commission( IEC) as IEC 625.
