HD View
HD View is a viewing software developed by Microsoft Research for displaying gigapixel images. With HD View, gigapixel photographs can be continuously shifted and zoomed.
In the process, as much data is always downloaded as is required for the enlarged display and the section enlargements that are likely to follow. When zoomed in, HD View projects the usual perspective, whereas when zoomed out, the projection is curved, as it corresponds to the human way of looking at things. The transition between these projections is balanced.
The HD View plug-in supports all major browsers. There is also a photo gallery for creating your own gigapixel and panoramic images from single shots with Windows Live.
