GPS module

GPS modules are small receiver modules for the GPS system (Global Positioning System). They are highly integrated CSP packages with low- noise preamplifiers, GPS chip and signal processing that are only a few millimeters in size.

GPS modules are used in mobile devices such as GPS trackers, GPS loggers for location tracking, drones for position determination, digital cameras for geotagging and smartphones and cell phones for emergency calls.

Various operating modes, such as Mobile Station-Assisted( MS-A) and Mobile Station-Based (MS-B), enable GPS modules to determine position with meter accuracy. To achieve this location accuracy, methods are used that combine radio signal location with GPS location. The data from GPS modules can be transmitted via radio modules and used, for example, to locate an emergency call from emergency call centers.
