European institute for research and strategic studies in telecommunications (EURESCOM)

EURESCOM was founded in 1991 and is based in Heidelberg. The institute, which is operated by 23 public network operators, is involved in telecommunications research and development work.

Eurescom's primary goal is to use existing standards, abandon options in them, and develop them further into specifications for implementation.

Research areas include services, technologies such as ATM, network management, or aspects related to Intelligent Networks( IN).
