EtherTalk link access protocol (ELAP)

The protocols used in AppleTalk on the link layer are summarized under the name Link Access Protocols. The most important protocols are the LocalTalk Link Access Protocol ( LLAP), the EtherTalk Link Access Protocol (ELAP) for Ethernet and the TokenTalk Link Access Protocol ( TLAP) for TokenRing. The EtherTalk Link Access Protocol is located above the link layer.
